Poor NDP and other musings in the aftermath of the 2008 election

After the latest Canadian federal election, the NDP is probably kicking itself about the fact that it has almost twice the votes of the Bloc Quebecois but fewer seats. Good ol’ Canadian electoral system.

Oh, the Greens have a reason to be disappointed too. Elizabeth May may not be able to participate in the next debate with nobody in the House of Commons this time (not even a floor-crosser). Technically, nobody had physically sat in the House as a Green.
