Note to myself not to wear these brands
I have a horrible memory, so I’m writing down the following brands of clothing that I will try to avoid in the future, plus reasons against them. Here they are, in no specific order:
Banana Republic: If I wanted clothes from there, I’ll buy from Old Navy/Gap for a lower price and less pretentiousness.
American Eagle: I bought a polo shirt from there once. Then they bought back the collar-popping days of the ’80s.
Honourable candidates:
Roots: Their clothes are too stuffy. Perfect for Canadian winters but horrible for anything indoors. I’ve always been tempted by sales, but never emerged outside the store with any purchases.
The Bay: I know they’re not a brand, but buying from there is like getting department store prices without the department store service. Whatever happened to Canada’s oldest merchant?
Only 4? That’s all I can think of? I’ll add more later.
