A candidate for the best quote ever
I was just reminded of this today by one of my customers at the restaurant. Here’s the back-story. Trust me, it’s good.
A few weeks ago there was a particularly upset family who acted quite unreasonably at the restaurant, and all I could do was wait for them to leave. The father and mother layered on the expletives in front of their children, and I just couldn’t wait for them to go. Meanwhile, these bewildered customers were sitting back watching the shitstorm, and said the following afterward:
“Don’t worry too much about it. The man’s going to go home and beat his wife, and the wife’s going to beat the older kid, and the older kid’s going to beat the younger brother, and the youngest will take it out on the dog. The dog will bite the father, and the vicious cycle will continue…”
You can’t find this material in the hallowed halls of Oxford.
