I just realized something:

The Wii is the first Nintendo console coming out with no Mario game at launch!

• The NES had Donkey Kong, which had Mario/”Jumpman” in it
• The Famicom Disk System had Super Mario Bros.
• The Gameboy had Super Mario Land
• The SNES had Super Mario World
• The disaster that was Virtual Boy had Mario’s Tennis
• The N64 had Super Mario 64
• The GBA had Super Mario Advance
• The Gamecube had Luigi’s Mansion (although I’m not sure if Mario actually shows up at the end of the game…anyways, he’s still shown in photos)
• The DS had Super Mario 64 DS

However, there’s no Mario title for the Wii! Super Mario Galaxy will only come out in 2007…
